Mr Hugh Litchfield has been an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon for 30 years and has considerable experience in all branches of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery (ENT). He graduated from the University of Otago and specialised in ear nose and throat surgery working in leading hospitals in the United Kingdom, spending two years studying rhinoplasty in London.He obtained the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 1977 he registered as a specialist in New Zealand where he developed a special interest in sinus and nasal surgery including rhinoplasty. He is a member of the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology and is an honorary member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology. He holds a current certificate of Maintenance of Professional Standards with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

The hospital is equipped with state of the art anaesthetic and safety equipment. This hospital is now an accredited Day Hospital (Telarc NZS8164:2005) and is practicing to the highest standards. The staff are specially trained and experienced in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. The objective is to provide safe, effective and personalised care.
